DEVOTED FANS SHOW US THEIR COLLECTIONS AND POP MEMORABILIA

KASABIAN
GEORGINA PASCOE, WATFORD

Q: When did you become a Superfan of Kasabian and why do you like them?

A: I became a fan back in 2014.I met my boyfriend at one of their gigs and since then we’ve seen them 50 times together, in eight countries. I love the band because their music is brilliant, they’re amazing live, and great to their fans.

Q: What items do you have in your collection?

A: There’s over 200 items including CDs, vinyl, DVDs and cassettes. I also own posters, T-shirts, setlists, drumsticks and drumskins as well as maracas, playing cards and a vodka bottle.

Q: How much have you spent on your collection?

A: I’ve no idea of the exact amount, but I’d guess around £8,000-£10,000. There’s lots that I wouldn’t be able to put a price on.

Q: Do you have a favourite item in your collection?

A: I have many favourite items, but currently I’d have to say the maracas from The Alchemist’s Euphoria tour. Serge gave them to me from the stage during the first gig of the tour. I’m also proud to own a Brixton live DVD, which has never been released. There’s only a handful in circulation.

Q: Have you ever met the band?

A: Yes, several times. I’ve been lucky enough to speak to them a lot.

Q: lf you could ask Kasabian one question, what would it be?

A: I’d like to ask them why the song 55 was never properly released – and if there is a studio recording of it. It’s amazing.

Q: 1s there one Holy Grail item of memorabilia that you would love to get your hands on?

A: I’d love to be able to own some more vinyl test pressings, Saracuse demos (their first band), and one of their big flags.
