The Official Charts Company have revealed this evening in the midweek charts update that Kasabian are currently on course to secure their seventh consecutive number 1 album with Happenings. Kasabian are currently out-selling their nearest competition, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poet’s Department 2:1.

Despite being ahead in the midweek charts, the race is far from won. In the last few weeks, Taylor Swift has deployed some underhand tactics to usurp other artists in a similar position to Kasabian – Most notably, releasing a UK exclusive version of her new album to derail Charli XCX’s campaign to land her second number 1 album with Brat.

Kasabian have multiple versions of Happenings available to buy, all of which can be found on the Happenings page on Kasabian Archive.

Also, do not forget that all physical copies of the album contain bonus introduction track, A Happening, as well as many formats coming signed by the band.
