The Official Charts company have confirmed this evening that Kasabian have secured their seventh consecutive number 1 album in the UK, spanning from the release of Empire, up to the most recent album, ‘Happenings’.

‘Happenings’ toppled Taylor Swift’s album, ‘The Tortured Poet’s Department’, which has dominated the charts for the past ten weeks, with eight of those weeks spent at number one.

In a video posted to social media, Serge said; “Thank you to our fans – the greatest in the world. We are nothing without you, we adore you, thank you so much. Seven on the spin!”

Happenings is has also topped the vinyl and record store charts.
